International Pre-master Program(IPMP)
The Pre-Master Program is designed by EWIE for Chinese graduates or three-year diploma holders who wish to study for Master's degree in the UK o r Australia but whose English language level may not satisfy the requirements for direct entry into a postgraduate course. It aims to improve their level of English in order to cope effectively with the academic and psychological demands of postgraduate study in the UK and bring them up to professional talents with international competitiveness.
IPMP program has been now recognized by over 10 universities in the UK and Australia. IPMP students will be included in the partner universities’ annual recruiting plan, and will be given preferential treatment and unconditional registration upon successful completion of the course. We are still seeking recognition of the IPMP in Business & Management and Sport Health Science for entry into the business- related and sport- related subjects in related universities. We have Chinese partner universities: Sun Yet-Sen University, Shanghai Jiaotong University
and Beijing Foreign Studies University.
IPMP is designed by highly professional foreign and Chinese
educators to prepare the students to successfully and competently negotiate the journey between Chinese pedagogical approaches and those employed by universities in the UK and Australia. Modules include: Academic English, study skills and academic conventions, Business management, research methods, date analysis and project planning. All teaching is conducted in the English language. The course consists of whole class lectures supported by handouts, group seminars, workshops, presentations, individual/group learning sessions and one-to-one tutorials. All the ways of learning give students the opportunities to develop their study skills and research skills.

IPMP in Sport and Health Science
IPMP in Sports and Health Science is a variation of IPMP, and is
specially designed for students who are interested in sports and health management studies. In order to roundly improving the comprehensive abilities of students, special courses are designed to satisfy different level students. Academic credit is divided into A and B two types leading respectively to different universities overseas. |
